Pastor & President, The Church of Infinite Spirit
Vice-President, General Assembly of Spiritualists
Spiritualist study classes educate the students on the history of Spiritualism, the tenets of our religion, and the philosophy with emphasis on holistic healing of body, mind and soul. The truths as taught by Jesus to His disciples as recorded in scripture are conducive to attaining a state of higher consciousness. Belief that all love and healing stems from God is accepted. Spiritualism teaches belief in God, Infinite Intelligence, Creator and Source of life, and that we are here for soul growth and progression of soul development. We believe in the continuity of life.
“God’s love and mercy endures forever.”
Rev. Hairston’s pathway began when she attended her first Spiritualist service at the former Universal Spiritualist Church in Elmira, NY in October 1994 and met Rev. Marjorie Morin. Rev. Morin invited her to attend classes. The devotional services and development classes taught her to appreciate the beautiful gifts of the Spirit and how to utilize these gifts with respect and appreciation. Rev. Hairston was ordained in Rochester, NY in 2000 by Rev. Aloma Cason, President of the General Assembly of Spiritualists.
In response to a spiritual calling, Rev. Hairston applied for a Charter to start a church from the General Assembly of Spiritualists of Rochester, NY. The Church of Infinite Spirit of Elmira, NY was so recognized and Rev. Hairston continues to serve and pastor.
